The Damai II Liveaboard (like its sister Damai I) represents a new brand of ‘boutique’ liveaboard dive cruise, operating in the best regions of Indonesia. The wooden schooners are 40m (130ft) long and built in the traditional Phinisi fashion that is unique to Indonesia.
Damai II cruises through the most exciting dive regions in Indonesia to be at the best places at the right time. The dive cruises include Komodo, Lombok, Moluccas, Raja Ampat, Cendarawasih Bay and Halmahera.
Facilities
Damai II Liveaboard has a deck length of 40m (130ft) and a beam of 9m (29ft) at its widest point. It has been built to an uncompromising standard and fitted out with all the latest diving, navigation and safety equipment to ensure that the level of service appreciated on Damai I is maintained and, where possible, improved upon.
The Damai II Liveaboard is slightly larger than its sister and has been designed with three large deck areas for relaxing either in the sun or shade.
The comfortable air-conditioned lounge has TV/Video and it is divided into dining area and lounge area. The delicious food is a good combination of local and western food. Included in the cruise price are all drinks, except wine which is available for purchase. One free spa treatment is offered onboard.
We think…
Damai II follows the success of Damai I and offers a unique level of service and personal space. It’s definitely one of the best upmarket ways to see the remote islands and reefs in Indonesia.
Please check the Live Availability & Pricing panel to see the large variety of itineraries available.
Damai II departs from a number of different destinations depending on itinerary.
The two stern staterooms on the main deck are over 400 sqft each and boast their own private deck with lounges, a super-king size bed, day beds, two desks and separate shower and head. On the Bridge deck, a smaller double/twin cabin has direct access to the sun deck.
The below deck accommodation has been designed to accommodate single or twin occupants in a level of luxury not seen on another vessel in Indonesia. Each cabin has a private shower and separate head with a queen-size bed and a separate day bed.
The cabins measure approximately 20sqm (225sqft) each and have been finished with the highest quality furnishings.
Below
The various regions visited by Damai II offer a great cross-section of dive sites.
Nitrox and quality hire dive equipment are available at a charge.
Up to 5 dives, a day will be organized. They have a choice of 10, 12 or 15L tanks (DIN or INT connection) and a maximum of 4 divers with one guide. Two dive tenders make sure that even underwater you will have a personal experience. Photographers find plenty of charging station (110V and 220V) and an even bigger workspace then on Damai I to handle their equipment.
