Escorted Group Trip – Timor Whale Migration – AUD 3,100

Join award-winning underwater photographer Pete McGee for a week of diving and whale watching in Timor Leste. Dive pristine fringing reefs, where you’ll encounter everything from macro critters to BIG encounters, with dugongs, dolphins… and whales. From October to December each year, the Timor’s Wetar Strait becomes a marine super highway between the Pacific and Indian Oceans. During this time different species of whales, including blue, beaked, humpback, sperm, killer, short-finned pilot and melon-headed whales can be seen, along with very large pods of dolphins.

Pete will be on hand to lead your group, running photo workshops and providing photography tips and hints to help you capture the experience.

• 7 nights accommodation in Dili, at Dive Timor Lorosae’s Guest House
• 6 coast dives inc. tanks, weights and dive guide
• 2 full days whale encounter tours in the Wetar Strait

Optional 4 night extension to Atauro Island Dive Resort – AUD 1,800

Want to add on more whales? Spend an extra four nights across the Wetar Strait, staying at Atauro Island Dive Resort, diving their beautiful house reef and spending another two full days on the water looking for whales.
