We’ve all heard of the Best Job in the World – a 12 month caretaker position on the Great Barrier Reef that was won a couple of year’s ago by charismatic English adventurer Ben Southall,
Since then Tourism Australia expanded it’s Best Job opportunities, with a Best Job position in each state, and now, there’s a Best Job that’s ever so much more appealing to us ocean advocates: The Best Dive Job in the World.
Dive operator Blue Season Bali wants 8 contestants to join them in Bali for a chance to win their dream job.
The ‘Best Dive Jobs in the World’ come with an attractive full-time employment and prize package worth $25,000 including training, equipment, and cost of living.
The first winner of the Best Dive Job in the World back in 2010, Kenzo Kiren, had this to say about his experience.
“A few years ago I won “The Best Dive Job” – becoming a PADI Scuba Diving Instructor in Bali. Unfortunately for me, my time is up. But luckily for aspiring professional divers ‘The Best Dive Job’ is back. This time there’s not one, but 8 lucky candidates who will compete for the opportunity of a lifetime.”
The 8 winning candidates of the ‘Best Dive Job’ will each receive an attractive six week training package to become certified PADI Divemasters worth $5,000 including living costs.
All up, there is over $100,000 dollars in prizes to win along the way including Aqua Lung dive equipment, Suunto computers and liveaboard dive safaris.
Ultimately ONE lucky candidate will WIN the grand prize: A package which includes all training necessary to become a PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer – free accommodation while in training, full set of equipment, teaching materials AND a full-time work contract with Blue Season Bali upon completion of the training program.
How to enter the competition?
Starting on August 1st 2014 until October 31st 2014, participants will have the opportunity to submit their video entries via our contest platform: BestDiveJob.com
Submissions will be no longer than 90 seconds video submitted on the theme of ‘Why I want to be a professional PADI dive instructor and WIN the Best Dive Job in the World.’ Participants are encouraged to demonstrate their keen sense of adventure, dive and travel experience, and their expertise with social media, marketing, photography and videography.
Once they have submitted their video, contestants will be expected to promote their entries to gain supporters and votes. Although public votes will be an important factor in the final decision, winning the confidence of the judges will certainly help in securing an invitation to compete for the Best Dive Job.
