Pogaling Anda Bohol

Site Overview
Dive Centres
Site Type: Scenic reef and macro
Depth: Top: 5M Median: 12M Bottom: 15M
Location: The northern most dive site on the western side of Anda, about 20 minutes from Magic Oceans Resort

At Pogaling a pretty reef slopes to a sandy bottom at just 15m. This makes it one of the best sites around for both sandy macro and scenic reef fish.

Pogaling is at the northern tip of the reef to the west of Anda. The fall at the reef’s edge here is only 10m to the sandy slope, so it makes for a good second dive. As such, we see more creatures associated with that sandy slope on this dive.

The first thing to catch the eye is the rhymic dancing of the juvenile many spotted sweetlips.

There are many sea anemones on the sand. There is plenty of space on the sandy substrate, so you can find a comfortable spot to watch.

Where there is sand, you will find goatfish – the bicolour goatfish was particularly common in the region.
