The Edge dive site looks like the edge of the world – a vertical wall festooned with whip corals and fans, falling vertically to what looks like the bottom 30m below – but which is in fact a ledge before the drop off proper- evident by the deep blue of the water.
Along the wall are ledges where you might see a green and hawksbill turtle, or some of the bigger fish like triggers or Unicornfish.
At Bordello the reef wall has more colour and is bedecked with soft corals, fans, and colourful feather stars. Apparently it is named Bordello as it is “strangely reminiscent of the paintings of Toulouse-Lautrec” – but I suspect only if you get really narc’ed!
There’s plenty to see at all depths, every surface is coated with a rich tapestry of hard and soft corals providing the perfect cover for a freckled hawkfish.
There are plenty of anemones too, with big fat, but grumpy looking Clarks. (Mainly they’re only grumpy with me for sticking my 2000 lumens of video light into their visage).
Obviously the feather stars don’t mind. Do they even have eyes…?
