There is a great diversity of dive sites all around Lady Musgrave Island – with the dive site names giving a pretty good clue as to what you’ll encounter on each dive.
Manta Bommies dive site is a section of scattered bommies on a sandy sea floor that act as a cleaning station for manta rays with drift dives on both flood and ebb tides. Great for photography.
Canyons is a drift dive along a reef wall with coral gardens and overhangs where you will likely see sharks, turtles and other pelagic life as well as beautiful soft and hard corals.
The Caves is another gentle drift dive along the reef wall, with lots of overhangs and swim-throughs to explore.
Turtle Alley is a shallow lagoon dive with a sandy bottom and scattered bommies used as cleaning stations for resident green, loggerhead and hawksbill turtles.
The ex-HMAS Tobruk wreck was scuttled only a few years ago and has already attracted plenty of marine life, including a resident turtle called Brookie, large schools of bat fish, giant trevally and barracuda.
