The Malaafaiy Restaurant located beside the pool and overlooking the Lagoon, offers a buffet-style breakfast, lunch and dinner with culinary influences from around the world.

Alfresco Restaurant at the pavilion serves a wide range of beverages and a La carte specialties in an open-air seating, with the view of the sunset.

The Vilu Bar built over the lagoon, with spectacular beach and ocean views offer a wide selection of premium beverages and cocktails as well as an extensive snack menu.

Gourmet Menus are also available for those celebrating special occasions, including dinner at the beach, poolside or bar.

Medhufushi Island Resort is a 40-minute seaplane ride from Male.

Medhufushi Island, has a total 122 villas, 66 designed to blend in with the island atmosphere, giving the impression of wooden huts shaded by palm trees, and 46 nestled above the crustal waters of the lagoon. There are 44 Beach Villas, 8 Beach Vila suites, 14 semi-detached Beach Villas, 44 Water Villas, and 2 Lagoon Suites. The Lagoon Suites and Water Villas are designed for couples, the other Villas can accommodate up to 3 adults and/or one or two children.

All Villas have Air conditioning, a hairdryer, minibar, satellite TV, an IDD telephone, an in-room safe and Tea/Coffee making facilities.

Note that there is no house reef at Medhufushi, but there are two boat dive trips per day to take you to the area surrounding Meemu Atoll which has more than 30 pristine reefs, thilas, channels, and caves bursting with vibrant marine life and healthy corals. As it’s the only resort in the atoll you won’t run into other groups of divers at the dive sites either.

There is a range of SSI courses for uncertified divers or anyone wanting to further their training, such as the drift specialty course. Nitrox is available free of charge for Nitrox certified divers.

Best time to dive

Diving in the Maldives is suitable all year round. Occurring from December to May is the Northeast Monsoon which provides calm seas and clear water in the east. These conditions are not the same in the west at this time. During this period the air temperature is generally around 29° and the water temperature is 26-29°. From June to November is the southwest monsoon where the water is clear towards the western atolls but the seas are rougher at this time and it as also generally a wetter time. The expected air temperature is 26° and water temperature is from 26-29° at this time.
