Above water, North Rock appears unremarkable, but below there is a combination of kelpy bommies, rocky ledges and sandy gutters. It’s the other great reason for diving Broughton Island as this video will testify.
There are plenty of critters in and above the kelp.
We saw what can only be described as ‘heaps of’ Port Jackson.
The main attraction on our dive was the 30+ grey nurse shark aggregating in a natural sheltered aquarium.
Being surrounded by rocks almost like cliffs, there are a number of vantage points at various depths simply to hang and behold these magnificent creatures cruise by with their toothy grins.
