There is no specific Rock per se (well, not one I saw). But there are a lot of plates of fine horn coral with lots of life. I’d forgotten just how many fusiliers were flying through until I came to make up the video.
No – this is not a selfie – first things first: align the camera, spot light and strobe. This gives a good indication of the ‘landscape’ on the dive site.
There are lots of parrot fish keeping it all nice and clean.
Also lots of places where camouflaged Rockcod think they are actually camouflaged either lying on top,
or hiding beneath.
So what’s the collective name for Fusiliers?
I think explosion is the correct term.
You could drop off the edge to about 22 m to see the reef sharks cruising past or stop at 12 m or somewhere in between.
And there’s always a Moray hanging about somewhere.
It’s very easy to while away 70 minutes just admiring the fish and the coral.
