Vomo Resort’s Coral Gardens dive site is literally that: a garden of living coral with all the marine life associated with a healthy coral environment presenting a varied scuba diving experience. It is one of the best and most easily accessible dive sites right in front of the resort. There are also cracks and crevices in the limestone substrate some big enough to deliver interesting swim throughs.
But it’s not just coral in the coral gardens, there are large sea fans in the deeper water.
And a variety of swim-throughs for scuba divers to explore and “look-throughs” – not quite big enough to swim through, and usually prettier for it.
Look carefully and you’ll see a variety of nudibranchs.
Plenty of branching staghorn coral, home to damsels and Humbugs.
Also big patches of cabbage or lettuce corals.
There are soft corals too.
And maybe not so impressive in the grand scheme of things: a Gardeniers Headshield slug – but a sign of a healthy and abundant marine environment.
